John and Karen Sweeney, who reside in Ashford, Kent, UK, are enthusiastic dancers who enjoy various dance styles. They regularly engage in Contra, Ceilidh, Barn Dance, Ceroc/LeRoc (Modern Jive), Square Dancing, Salsa, Contra Waltz, West Coast Swing, Morris Dancing, and more!

John has been dancing since he was 16 and has been teaching various forms of dance since 1973.

Karen's passion for dance was ignited by the original "West Side Story" film, and she has been dancing ever since. She draws from a wide range of dance influences, including Modern Jive, West Coast Swing, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Ballroom, Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Urban/Street & Hip-Hop, Swing/Lindy, Blues, and Tango, which she incorporates into her dancing.

Together, Karen and John have been dancing, demonstrating, and teaching since 2001. They share a love for traveling and meeting fellow dancers who, like them, are always eager to explore new dance styles and ideas.
